Before your tan

24 hours before your tan wax or shave exfoliate your whole body, focussing on drier areas like elbows, knees and ankles.

Immediately before your tan

Remove make-up and deodorant as this can leave to uneven tanning. We strongly advise showering before your tan appointment.

Moisturise any particularly dry areas such as hands, feet, knees and elbows. Make sure the rest of your body is free from moisturiser or body spray as these can act as barriers to the tanning product.

After your tan

For best results leave your tan on for a minimum of 8 hours or overnight.

Wear loose dark clothing after your application.

Wear loose-fitting shoes – flip flops are the best option.

Avoid exercising or swimming while your tan is developing.

Do not bathe or shower for a minimum of eight hours.

After your shower pat your skin – don’t rub it.

To prolong the life of your tan for as long as possible exfoliate regularly from day 4 onwards and use one of the Xen-Tans extending products at home.
